Carlos Rodriguez-Vega and Ken Cole are owners of Orchards Grocery Outlet in east Vancouver. The couple has been owners in the grocery business for more than seven years, and after shattering all sales records at the Vancouver Grocery Outlet, they were offered the new store in Orchards in January of 2021.

A big part of Grocery Outlet's core values includes giving back to the community. Together their "Village People" and customers have raised over $60,000 through Grocery Outlet's annual Independence from Hunger food drive. The funds support Share Vancouver, the Clark County Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul and other local nonprofits committed to feeding our neighbors in need.

Prior to running his own store, Carlos was the co-manager of Portland's Hollywood Grocery Outlet. A native of Colima, Mexico, he has duel U.S. and Mexican citizenship. Prior to joining Grocery Outlet, Ken lead teams of marketing and communication professionals at PeaceHealth, Kaiser Permanente, and the Oregon Medical Association. He also worked in TV news, including five years as a reporter at KATU Channel 2.

Ken and Carlos have been a couple for 20 years and tied the knot in 2013 - so they'll be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this year! They enjoy time in the outdoors hiking, mountain biking, and skiing, plus spending as much time as they can in Mexico, Hawaii and Central Oregon.
